Drug and Alcohol Course is the First Step to your Florida Learners Permit

Before new drivers can take the DMV learner's permit written exam and get a Florida learner's permit, they are required by law to take this 4-Hour Traffic Law and Substance Awareness Course (also known as TLSAE or DATA).

We are a Florida Department of Highway and Safety Motor Vehicle (DHSMV) approved provider of the Drug and Alcohol Awareness Course. We offer the DMV learner's permit written exam online once this course has been completed.

IMPORTANT: The Department of Highway and Safety Motor Vehicle (DHSMV) requires that all new drivers provide a certificate of completion for this course before applying for a learner's permit.

Important DMV Announcement:
If you complete both your Drug and Alcohol Awareness course and DMV Exam online with us, you will need a parent or guardian to sign an affidavit at the driver license office verifying that you lawfully completed the exam online; if you are 18 or over, you will not be eligible to take the exam online.
