    • There are two required steps to receive a Florida Learner's Permit:

    • Take the Drug and Alcohol Awareness Course and receive a certificate.
    • Take the DMV learner's permit written exam and receive a certificate.

    Important DMV Announcement:
    You will need a parent or guardian to sign an affidavit at the driver license office verifying that you lawfully completed the exam online; if you are 18 or over, you will not be eligible to take the exam online. View the Affidavit
