Teen Defensive Driving Course
Research shows that traffic crashes are the leading cause of death and serious injury for teenagers.
Our Teen Defensive Driving Course provides driver improvement training that has been proven effective at reducing repeat crashes and moving violations. Teens are guided through each chapter of this online course, learning about general safe driving techniques plus road rules and regulations, including speed limit and seat belt laws.
The course is four hours long and provides a unique perspective on driving safety for teenagers. After the new driver passes the 40-question final exam at the end of the course, we will email an electronic National Safety Commission - approved certificate of completion.
While teens crave the independence that driving will bring, they often fail to think about the road hazards they may encounter. They may focus on irrelevant matters such as switching the CD in the car or get distracted by looking for something, such as the windshield wiper switch. The problem is that one small distraction can create a situation in which a crash could occur.
The Teen Defensive Driving course lessons help teens learn to recognize these situations, so they can act quickly to avoid a disaster. This course is also included in our Learner's Permit Premium package, along with other helpful tools for new drivers.
